Invictus Pour-On for Cattle INVICTUS-PO Abbey Animal Health

Description

Invictus Pour-On for Cattle is a high-performance, dual-active parasiticidal treatment designed for the Australian cattle industry. This powerful formulation combines 200g/L Levamisole and 10g/L Abamectin to deliver broad-spectrum control of both internal and external parasites. It is specifically engineered to overcome resistance, effectively treating roundworms that have developed tolerance to single-active macrocyclic lactone or levamisole drenches.

The product offers a low dose rate of 1mL per 20kg of body weight, making it a cost-effective choice for large-scale livestock management. Because it is rainfast within two hours of application, farmers can maintain treatment schedules with confidence regardless of unpredictable weather conditions. This solution ensures sustained activity against key worm species while addressing external threats like lice, buffalo fly, and cattle tick.

Which parasites does Invictus Pour-On for Cattle control?

Invictus Pour-On is effective against a wide range of adult and immature stages of gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, and external parasites. This includes Barbers Pole Worm, Small Brown Stomach Worm (including inhibited stages), Stomach Hair Worm, and Intestinal Threadworm. Additionally, it provides up to 10 days of protection against Buffalo Fly and aids in the strategic control of Cattle Tick.

How does the dual-active formula manage resistance?

The combination of Abamectin and Levamisole works through two different chemical families to ensure higher efficacy against resistant strains. While Abamectin targets the nervous system of the parasite, Levamisole provides a “clear drench” action that kills worms resistant to mectin-based treatments. Using dual actives is a recommended practice to delay the development of chemical resistance on your property.

What is the dose rate for Invictus Pour-On?

The standard dose rate for Invictus Pour-On is 1mL per 20kg of body weight. Cattle should be weighed using scales or a weighband prior to treatment to ensure accurate dosing based on the heaviest animal in the group. Underdosing can contribute to the development of parasite resistance and should be avoided
